From our life lessons learned, to heartbreaks and mental, financial and emotional breakthroughs… we’ve bared our hearts and lifted our voices to connect with our sistahs. In addition to our personal stories, we’ve shared books, our staple favorite things as well as services and resources that have helped us survive and even thrive during this crazy year. Small Doses: Potent Truths for Everyday Use by Amanda Seales
Now, in her one-of-a-kind voice that blends academic intellectualism, Black American colloquialisms, and pop culture fanaticism, she’s bringing her life’s lessons and laughs to the page. This volume of essays, axioms, original illustrations, and photos provides Seales’s trademark “self-help from the hip” style of commentary, fueled by ideology formed from her own victories, struggles, research, mistakes, risks, and pay-offs. Unapologetic, fiercely funny, and searingly honest, Small Doses engages, empowers, and enlightens readers on how to find their truths while still finding the funny!

The Sacred Search: What If It's Not About Who You Marry, but Why? by Gary Thomas
Love and marriage. These two things aren't easy to come by and take work to maintain. Thomas' take on dating is a breath of fresh air. Even as a pastor, Thomas seeks to strip away the religious community's negative influence on our ideas around the pursuit of love and marriage. This book is practical, relatable for anyone regardless of where you are in your dating journey. The Sacred Search is a map that guides and challenges singles in their pursuit to love and marriage. Of all the relationship books out there, this indeed deserves 5 stars. I highly recommend that those who are married check out Thomas' Sacred Marriage instead.

A message from Berry Pie: I am the founder and CEO of Berry Pie Delights LLC.
My love for baking was sparked as a teenager while watching my aunt bake cakes. Her ability to bake and design cakes that were not only beautiful but moist really inspired me.
I started out with baking cookies and cupcakes. From there I advanced to more complex treats like peach cobbler, pies and cakes. My family members raved about my sweet treats and would always encourage me to start my own business. It wasn’t until my 20s however, that I really started to practice and hone in on my craft.
Two years ago I finally decided to take a leap of faith and start my own business and in April of 2020, Berry Pie Delights LLC was born. My hope is to bring you the best Haitian-American sweet treats and pastries! Bon Appetite!
