I’ve been wanting to escape my current reality for a while now; dealing with work, death in the family, trying to maintain a social life etc. I am tired mentally, physically and spiritually. I have been daydreaming of traveling far away to a place where there’s peace, fresh air, calamity and serenity because I am running on empty and need to recharge before I collapse. I want to go to a place where there is an ocean, trees or mountains. I think about escaping often and how well it will be for my well-being but reality is the bills gotta get paid. Here are my top places on my list right now.

3 places I’d like to visit on a solo trip

1. St. Lucia has always been at the top of my list of islands I'd like to travel to. I feel drawn it’s something I can’t really explain - Stonefield Villa Resort is where I would like to stay wherever I visit Saint Lucia; hopefully sometime soon. I have been checking for when is the best time to visit. High season (most sunshine) is from mid-December - mid-April and low (wet season) is from June to November. As much as I don’t like rain, I wouldn’t mind going during the wet season because prices are lower. Stonefield Resort has some of the best views of the mountains which are breathtaking. The resort has great amenities as well.

2. Turks and Caicos has always been on my list too! But sis don’t have turks and Caicos money, yet! When I travel I prefer an all inclusive resort. When I was planning for my 30th birthday there weren't many options and the other resorts were expensive. Hotels range from 190 - 1,700 a night. $1700 a night? Who? Me? I love luxury but sis is on a budget. Next year God willing I’m planning that trip.

3. Staycation - Miami, FL: I’m not much of a fan of a staycation but it’s very idealistic at the moment, at least for a start since I just need to take some time off to recharge. After all, I do live in the Sunshine State, where there’s millions of tourists that visit. I haven’t done much research on which hotel I would stay at but I know for sure that it has to be beachfront. I really enjoy the view of the sky and ocean but you won’t find me going for a swim though.

If you’ve been thinking about a solo trip, where would you go? Comment down below and let me know.
