Femininity is a very subtle power. Femininity is also a very powerful tool in every way. Personally, I have recently embraced this notion and have been wondering what ways I have embraced and enhanced myself through my natural feminine aura. Here are some ways I have expressed myself that is ultra femme:
If it ain’t pretty to me, I don’t like it
As a teen and young adult, shopping for clothing was very hard for me. I think mainly because I was worried about what was on trend, who would like it and everything else other than me liking it myself. Now as a woman, I do not care what is on trend, who likes it, or what other people think. I shop for myself and my tastes.
Does that look good on ME though?
In the past, I would wear what looked good on others without taking into account my body shape and what naturally looks fab on me. Today, you can’t get me to buy or wear something out unless I have tried it on and looked in the mirror from several different angles. My advice is to look at what you like on Pinterest and pin what you like and go from there.
Thank you Darling!
Being feminine is not only in what you wear, but also in how you act. I love accepting positive compliments about my appearance, my scent or my hairstyle. It makes me feel good and when you feel good, you can compliment other people without overthinking it because you feel good in your own skin.
Ambiance
Fill your space with what you like. I personally like a clean room with indoor plants, flowers, and candles. I bring floral prints, my favorite colors, and a little glitter into decor to feel zen.
Your health is wealth
A large part of femininity is self-care. This is something I am better at now. I take naps when I need to (beauty sleep). I do my own manicures and pedicures (this allows me to do more on my budget). I regularly do hair treatments and style my hair. I also learned to exercise daily, drink lots of water and keep up with doctor appointments.
All in all ladies, love and be yourself. Not everyone is the same, so do what speaks to your heart and soul. This is the root of what femininity is.
Here are some of my favorite inspirations for femininity.
