Wrap Me In Love: Valentine's Day Gifts for Yourself, Partner, & Friends

It's almost that time again to publicly declare your love through handwritten cards, chocolates, and jewelry. Remember you can never go wrong with diamonds ;-). But if you're like me, you might be waiting to the last minute to purchase a gift for that special person in your life or maybe you might have decided not to celebrate this year. But I celebrate love all 365 days of the year, so February 14th is easy for me to celebrate single or taken. Here's a list of activities and gifts you can give to yourself or others.

Gifts for You

• Write a love letter to yourself. Its important that we highlight the things we love about ourselves, our busy schedules and responsibilities can make us forget to take care of the most important person ... YOU. So take the time to write at least (5) great things you like & love about yourself and then write (5) ways you can nurture those amazing attributes. For me, I love my wittiness, my resilient spirit, and how I've progress in my artistry in makeup. One of the things I will do for myself, is attend an online makeup course to touch up on my skills.

• Treat Yo'Self! Whether that's finally going to the hot new restaurant you always wanted to go to by yourself or traveling to a near by city for a short vacation. Its important to take the necessary rest & recreation you need to reset your mental outlook in life. Don't limit your adventures because you don't have an entourage or a bae to take you on a "Baecation". Be the "Bae" you want in your life! For myself, I hope to travel to New Orleans, LA or Naples, FL this summer as a little adventure retreat.

• Something to buy. One of my favorite things to buy are candles from Bath & Bodyworks. They have some of my favorite 3-wick candles. Here are some of my favorite scents you can light while you treat yourself to a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at home.

Gifts for Friends

• Earrings are a girl's bestfriend! Nothing says I love you like jewelry and what's more fun than getting glam with you squad. • Oh Sweet Thang! One of my favorite joys in life is food but most of all dessert. A delicious confection can just be oh so satisfying. So get your bestie a yummy treat as special as she/he is by getting Valentine's package from Berry Pie Delights. You can get a red velvet cupcake or a strawberry cake.

• Wine down with Rom-Coms. Nothing tops off the day like a great glass of wine. Great company and wine, whether via video chat or in-person is a great way to end this day of love. This is one of my favorite gifts I received from one of my besties, and I sip from my "Queen Jai" glass almost every evening. My wine recommendation is to sip on is Cooper's Hawk Romance Red.

Gifts for Bae

• Book a hotel. Sometimes by changing the environment, you can curate the sensual fantasy that you desire with your partner. If possible, get a theme hotel room (jungle suite, love cave suite etc.) is a fun way to step into a new adventure. Plus there's mirrors, if you know what I mean ;-).

• Lingerie Me. Lace teddies, G-strings, the Babdoll, and Bustiers can make any girl feel like "Bae", whether you're in a relationship or not. Lingerie brings out the sultry eyes of Tyra Banks and the Naomi Campbell catwalk lying dormat in me. Take the time out to reintrouduce this confident-side of yourself to you and your partner. • The gift that they never knew they needed but always wanted. Your partner will give you cues overtime of the gifts they desire or you'll notice certain items that they need to make their day go easier. Whether that is getting them an office chair for the business that they just started, or getting a car cellphone holder so they can drive safer, or buying them the patent leather Tory Burch Miller sandals :-). My bad that's something on my list lol.
